What is SEA LIFE Aquarium?

More than a standard aquarium, SEA LIFE™ Aquarium provides an educational and interactive dynamic unlike any other. Featuring play zones, fun facts and quiz trails, SEA LIFE is designed to be a child's interactive guide to the life of the sea.

AAA Discount

10% off each admission when members show their valid AAA membership card (valid for up to six guests). Offer valid to all AAA cardholders through 12/31/08.

This offer is available at our ticket booths only. Must show valid AAA card at time of purchase. This offer is only valid at SEA LIFE Aquarium and cannot be applied to print-at-home tickets, Resort Membership or combined with any other offers.

Airline Employee Discount

Airline employees can receive 6 admission tickets at a 20% discount. Must show valid employee airline ID at any LEGOLAND California Resort ticket window to obtain discount.

The Carlsbad Airport (CLD/CRQ - McClellan-Palomar) is located just 3 miles from LEGOLAND California Resort.
The San Diego Airport (SAN - San Diego) is located approximately 35 miles from LEGOLAND California Resort.
The Los Angeles International Airport (LAX - Los Angeles) is located approx. 90 miles from LEGOLAND California Resort.

Backpacks

You are welcome to bring a backpack into the Aquarium.

Dining

Please note that coolers and outside food are not permitted in the Aquarium, however bottled water and any food or beverages required for specific dietary needs are allowed but cannot be consumed in the Aquarium for the safety of our animals. Drop Off Area

Dropping off family members or out of town guests? Before you approach the LEGOLAND California Resort parking toll booths, look for the large WELCOME structure on your left, made of thousands of LEGO bricks! Simply turn left into this horseshoe-shaped area, where you are welcome to drop off your guests.

Expiration Dates

One-day admission tickets are valid for one visit on or before the expiration date printed on the ticket. For example, if a ticket states an expiration date of April 1, 2008 you are welcome to visit the Aquarium on April 1, 2008.
Two-day hopper tickets are valid for two visits, with the first visit to be completed before and including the expiration date printed on the ticket. Second visit must be within 7 days of the first and does not include parking.

Guest Services

You will find Guest Services at the main entrance of LEGOLAND California, where our friendly Model Citizens, the people who work at the LEGOLAND California Resort, are standing by to answer questions and offer assistance.

Hopper Tickets

One and two day Resort Hopper Tickets are available, allowing admission to both SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND California. Please note that for two day Hopper Tickets, your second visit must be within 7 days of your first visit and does not include parking.

Kennels

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed inside the Aquarium. However, our outdoor shaded kennels are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis (located near the Aquarium entrance). Guests should bring their own pet supplies (i.e. dishes for water and food, etc). Please stop by Guest Services upon arriving at the Resort to sign up for the kennel and receive your key. Please note that the kennel area is not supervised by Resort personnel.
* A small refundable deposit is required.

For Guests who have lost something while visiting, please email our Lost and Found department to inquire if your item was turned into our Guest Services department. Please include all information pertaining to your lost item and how we can contact you if it is found.

Military Discount

SEA LIFE Aquarium offers active military personnel a 10% discount on 1-day admission tickets at the ticket booths with valid military ID. Tickets can be pre-purchased at a greater discount at the ITT at your MWR office on base.

Parking Prices

Parking is available at the following rates:
$12* Cars
$15 Campers/RV's
$5 Motorcycles
$20 Preferred Parking
Re-entry available with valid parking stub during same day of visit.

* If you are visiting SEA LIFE Aquarium only, parking is $5 and you will reimbursed the $7 difference once your one-day SEA LIFE admission ticket is purchased at the ticket booths. If you have a pre-paid one-day SEA LIFE only ticket, you can receive your reimbursement at Guest Services on the day of your visit. You must bring your paid parking ticket to the ticket booth or Guest Service window in order to receive reimbursement. For guests visiting both LEGOLAND California and SEA LIFE Aquarium, the standard $12 parking fee applies. If you are visiting SEA LIFE Aquarium on a day that LEGOLAND California is closed, there is no parking fee.

Buses and bicycles are free. Handicapped parking spaces are available near the Resort entrance, with valid placard.

Personal Checks

Unfortunately, personal checks are not accepted.

Picnic Area

Unfortunately, outside food and drinks are not permitted in the Aquarium and we therefore do not offer designated picnic areas, however, we do have grassy areas just outside of the Aquarium entrance.

Print at Home Tickets

Visit our online store to purchase print at home tickets. There are no additional fees and/or discounts on Print at Home tickets.

Shortly after purchasing your Print at Home tickets, you will receive an email confirmation with a summary of your order including a PDF attachment containing your tickets. Your ticket can only be scanned once at the turnstile, regardless of how many copies you have.

Print at Home tickets are valid for approximately 9 months to 1 year from date of purchase and do not have to be used on a specific date. Print at Home tickets are valid any day the Aquarium is open. Please note that Print at Home tickets are non-refundable.

No discounts can be applied toward print at home tickets, i.e. AAA or any other promotional offer. These offers must be redeemed at the Resort ticket booths. SEA LIFE Aquarium tickets are non-refundable.

Should you have any other questions or concerns regarding our Print at Home ticket program, please email us. Be sure to include your ORDER NUMBER and full name.

Public Transportation

The Oceanside Amtrak Station is located approximately 7.5 miles from the LEGOLAND California Resort. Guests can elect to travel to the Resort by cab or connections can be made to The Coaster and The Breeze (NCTD) from the Oceanside Station. Carlsbad Poinsettia Station (3 miles) and Carlsbad Village Station (4.5 miles) are both located just a few short miles from the Resort.

The Breeze route 321 provides bus service from south Carlsbad to San Marcos and has a stop in front of the ticket booths at LEGOLAND California Resort.

Re-Admittance

If you wish to leave the Aquarium and return the same day, at no charge, please have your hand stamped before you exit the Aquarium. Before you leave the Resort, you can also upgrade your entrance ticket to a two-day hopper ticket - or even a Resort Membership! Stop by LEGOLAND California Guest Services for more information. Refunds or exchanges are not possible in cases of inclement weather or display closures.

Recycling

LEGOLAND California Resort is committed to protecting the environment and has established operating standards to support these efforts. We ask for your assistance by please disposing of your aluminum cans and plastic bottles in the recycling containers located just outside the Aquarium.

RV Parking

RV parking is $11. Overnight RV parking is not permitted. Read more about San Diego area overnight RV parking facilities.

The SEA LIFE Gift Shop offers a wide range of gifts and souvenirs. Be sure to check out our environmentally friendly “green” gifts, many made from organic materials that promote eco-friendly awareness. You will also find many plush sea creatures to take home to remind you of your visit, along with books, DVD's, jewelry and Wyland™ collectibles.

Smoking Policy

In line with our family-friendly values and top priority for the safety of children, SEA LIFE Aquarium and the LEGOLAND California Resort are smoke-free and smoking is therefore prohibited within the Resort. Guests wishing to smoke may exit the Resort gates to do so. A designated smoking section is available outside of the Resort for those guests that choose to smoke.

The SEA LIFE Gift Shop offers a wide range of gifts and souvenirs. Be sure to check out our environmentally friendly “green” gifts, many made from organic materials that promote eco-friendly awareness. You will also find many plush sea creatures to take home to remind you of your visit, along with books, DVD's, jewelry and Wyland™ collectibles.

Strollers

SEA LIFE has numerous interactive elements that the whole family can enjoy. Therefore, we suggest that all strollers be parked outside. Stroller parking is available in front of the aquarium.

Travel Agents

Travel agents can receive either 2 admission tickets at a 50% discount or up to 6 admission tickets at a 20% discount when a valid IATA card or an imprinted business card and photo identification are presented at any LEGOLAND California Resort ticket window.

Train
